*Aromatherapy*
*"Diepe Warmte" Back Treatment*
"Aromatherapy." Remedial massage with essential oils to alleviate stress and to give relief from common aches and pains. Especially chronic back pain and headaches may benefit from this gentle therapy. Blood and lymphatic circulation is improved and stress is reduced.
"Reflexology." A pressure point form of treatment in which areas of the feet or hands receive friction or pressure on reflex areas, very similar to acupressure points. This therapy may have a beneficial effect on a wide range of symptoms.
Relaxation. The client practises relaxation skills and breathing techniques. The aim is to enable the client to apply these techniques to relax and feel more at ease in situations which might previously have caused stress or anxiety.
"Diepe Warmte". In the “Diepe Warmte” treatment a combination of warmth and massage with appropriate oils is used. Herbal warmers are placed on the muscles that are in spasm, in discomfort or painful. A rest follows whilst the warmth, herbs and the essential oils are taking effect. Afterwards the warmers are removed and a further application of the appropriate oils follows and are massaged into the affected areas. Most effective for chronic back pain.
************************************************************* Complementary therapies facilitate a holistic health care approach and do not aim to replace conventional medicine, but work alongside it to promote a sense of well-being.
During an initial assessment the needs of the client are identified and discussed and a programme of treatments is offered which will suit each person’s individual requirements. You will be assessed and treated by a registered practitioner, who is an NHS retired registered nurse.
